Following an outstanding career at Youngstown State University, which included impressive performances in the Senior Bowl and the Ohio Shrine Bowl games, Jaworski became a second round draft choice of the Los Angeles Rams in 1973.  After spending four years with the Rams, the rights to Jaworski were traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in March of 1977.
