Political Satirist & Musical Comedian
Like many of his classmates, Dave Werner took his Yale Law degree to a Washington, DC firm to launch his career. That path quickly changed the moment he was dubbed the "Funniest Lawyer in Washington" at a DC comedy club. Exclusively represented for lectures by Leading Authorities, the litigator with a funny bone has taken the entertainment circuit by storm.
Lawful fun. Encouraged by his amateur success, Werner decided to go into comedy full time. So, in 1987, he went to work on Capitol Hill. While a senate staffer, he joined Washington's highly regarded musical satire troupe, the Capitol Steps. By fusing current events and presidential gaffes and bugaboos with the song stylings of the forties, sixties, eighties, and today, Werner and his fellow Steppers make music of what the rest of the country tends to argue about. Singing "in trios, quartets, and committees," Werner and company show no signs of stopping their tuneful ribbing.
Since going solo in 1995, Werner has performed for trade associations and corporate meetings around the country, entertaining them with equal parts inside-the-beltway political commentary and Iowa-bred humor. He has taken the liberty of donning the title of "C-SPAN Music Man."
Werner offers a humorous take on today's headlines mixed with musical impressions of George W. Bush, Al Gore, Bill Clinton and other political figures. Each show also includes special material based on pre-event interviews with the client to ensure the show has broad appeal to attendees and guests.
Litigating the laughs. Werner has appeared on the CBS's Evening News with Dan Rather, NBC's Today, and on PBS. You may also have read about him in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, or The Washington Post. From Bar association meetings in Washington, to building industry conferences in California, Werner keeps audiences around the country rolling with his routine.
The broad appeal of Werner's act has brought him accolades from such diverse audiences as Fujitsu, Crown Petroleum, National Association of Homebuilders, EDS, National Association for Home Care, ADC Telecommunications, the American Osteopathic Association, and Boeing Helicopter.
Werner is also the author of the forthcoming book Adventures in the Funny Business. For any and every event and function, Dave Werner can add the right light touch-and while he's at it, the right left touch as well.

"Mr. President"
A master impressionist, Steve Bridges has developed uncanny impersonations of U.S. Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton. His political humor has taken him from NBC's Tonight Show with Jay Leno and CNN's Inside Politics straight to the White House Correspondents Association dinner performing next to the President himself. In addition to his political humor, Bridges repertoire includes a variety of personalities including Tom Brokaw, Paul Harvey, Barney Fife, and Homer Simpson.
