Dara Duguay, is the former Director of the Citigroup Office of Financial Education and the former Executive Director of the non-profit Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy.
Ms. Duguay is also the author of three self-help personal finance books: The Citi Commonsense Money Guide for Real People, Please Send Money: A Financial Survival Guide for Young Adults on Their Own, and Don't Spend Your Raise: And 59 Other Money Rules You Can't Afford to Break. She is the past Director of Education at the Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Los Angeles.
Ms. Duguay is considered an international expert on personal finance and has spoken at hundreds of major conferences. Her media experience includes print publications such as the New York Times, Associated Press, USA Today, Money Magazine, Parenting Magazine, Investors Business Daily, Child Magazine and Better Homes and Gardens among others. An accomplished public speaker, she regularly appears as a guest on stations such as National Public Radio, Fox News, CNN, Bloomberg, and MSNBC. Duguay currently records a monthly segment called Financial Fitness on Clear Channel network and writes a regular column for Military Money- a magazine distributed worldwide to the U.S. Military.
Among her many accomplishments, Dara has received the Medal of Merit from the U.S. Treasury Department, was appointed to the National Assessment of Educational Progress Economics Steering Committee, and has served in a consultant role to companies such as JP Morgan Chase, Visa, and the International Finance Corporation.
Ms. Duguay received her B.A. in Communications from the University of Michigan, and her M.A. in International Relations from Schiller University in Paris, France.
