Kathleen Matthews

A 21-year veteran of Washington television news, Kathleen Matthews anchors News 7 on WJLA-TV, the ABC affiliate in Washington, D.C., where she began her television career in 1976 as a news and public affairs writer-producer. She has been awarded nine Emmys for news, documentaries, and Working Woman, the nationally-syndicated show she hosted for five years. Her further credits include the prestigious George Foster Peabody, Scripps-Howard, Ohio State, and Associated Press Broadcaster awards. As a popular speaker on women's issues, Matthews shares her insights on the changing roles of men and women in society and how they affect the workplace and the home front.
