Summary:
Leading Authorities Inc., one of the nation’s most prominent speakers bureaus with a multi-faceted portfolio, is seeking a Director of Database Marketing. The primary focus of this position is to manage all aspects of Leading Authorities’ database marketing program. Responsibilities include performing effective marketing analysis, delivering business intelligence and developing and executing e-marketing campaigns to generate sales leads. This position is based in our Washington, DC office.
We are looking for a multi-talented individual whose skill set combines strategic insight with the ability to drive business results through the development, execution and analysis of high-impact marketing programs. Candidate must have a proven track record of developing and implementing innovative marketing campaigns with measurable results. This position works closely with the staff of the marketing, IT, and sales departments and with senior management to achieve key objectives. Position provides regular reports to management with relevant information on clients/prospects and ongoing suggestions on how the company can best utilize our CRM database and other data sources.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Jump start existing database marketing program by mining available data, designing business process for improved data capture, and developing new marketing strategies based on these results
- Develop and manage short and long term strategies for targeted marketing campaigns, evaluating campaigns and provide recommendations to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Collect and analyze data to identify sales trends, brand activity and other business opportunities
- Manage the development of lifetime value analysis of all programs to acquire new or reactivate existing customers (including internet sources, prospecting, list rental, lead generation programs, etc.), and allocates resources to those programs that help meet company objectives
- Identify new marketing opportunities through segmentation analysis of our customer database and outside database resources
- Responsible for continually improving the productivity of the e-mail marketing program
- Manage the evaluation of available statistical analysis tools and database access tools to make sure the company has the capability to fully evaluate and understand marketing opportunities
- Coordinate with outside vendors and third party marketing partners to develop cooperative programs to enhance our database capabilities
- Deliver accurate and timely reports to management about all aspects of database and e-marketing efforts
- Other duties as assigned by management from time to time
Required Skills, Experience and Education:
- 5+ years relevant work experience as a database marketing professional
- Bachelors degree in marketing, communication, business, statistics, statistical analysis, mathematics or related discipline
- Strong analytical skills, mathematical skills and mastery of statistical techniques to transform raw data into insights
- Strong oral and written communication as well as interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of customer analysis methodologies, approaches and tools
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills and problem solving skills
- Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work under deadlines
- Extremely organized and detail oriented
Preferred Skills, Experience and Education:
- B2B marketing experience
- Ability to lead teams and manage people
- Advanced skills in Excel and MS Office software
- Ability to manage external vendors and contractors
- Experience with Microsoft CRM
- Experience with Eloqua
- Masters degree in marketing, business, statistics, mathematics or related field
