Since client contacts are made primarily by telephone, the successful candidate will be an outstanding communicator through this medium.  

The successful candidate will be interested in, and familiar with, current events, including headline news, business trends, sports, and modern culture. Equally important is someone who is driven to success, has excellent organizational and time management skills, is persistent and resilient, is comfortable with the computer, and who has sound business judgement.  

Compensation includes a generous base salary, incentive compensation, a 401(K) plan and profit sharing, paid vacation and holidays, health/dental/vision insurance, life & disability insurance.

Available Position: Part-Time, Unpaid Business Development and Marketing Internship
Date of Hire: Fall 2009
Duration: One Semester Minimum

Job Duties:
-Work closely with Business Development and Marketing Coordinator and the Creative Director on assigned projects.
-Assist in the organization, planning, and execution of marketing related events (See Upcoming Events: http://www.leadingauthorities.com/speakers/all_events.htm).
-Maintain and update speaker information in Leading Authorities' computer database and public Web site. -Data entry, filing, and general administrative support as needed.  

Qualifications:
-Junior or Senior college student.
-Flexibility to work from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with ability to work one to two extra hours per month for special events as needed.  

Required Skills:
-Project management, organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong computer skills.
-High standards of oral and written communications.
-Ability to work independently.
