With meetings increasingly under pressure, the Leading Authorities Event Advisory Services team led a dynamic workshop that focused on event challenges and opportunities. The topic was “Is My Meeting Relevant”, of high concern to the audience of senior meeting professionals. With the help of audience response systems, the discussion garnered important research data for anyone in the meeting industry. Below, a glimpse at some of the results:

Food for thought—Even though the event location is always the first thing splashed across a promotional brochure or website, 0% of respondents cited it as important to meeting relevance.

Results: Attendees – 83%
Food for Thought—Overwhelmingly, the meeting professionals agreed that attendee satisfaction trumps the satisfaction of exhibitors, bosses, colleagues, and even their own satisfaction.

Results: Declining Attendance—39.6%
Risking New Ideas vs. sticking with what’s worked- 20.8 %
