With his fast-paced banter and bombastic commentary, John McLaughlin cuts to the chase of today's political issues. He is the creator, executive producer, and host of two of America's most talked about weekly public affairs programs: The McLaughlin Group, which premiered in 1982, and John McLaughlin's One On One, first telecast in 1984. These long-running and award-winning programs showcase Dr. McLaughlin's incisive journalistic interviewing and moderating style, as well as his wry sense of humor.

His unique perspective on domestic and foreign affairs stems from his close proximity to Presidents Nixon and Ford as a speechwriter and special assistant. He served for almost a decade as the Washington Editor and Columnist for the National Review.
