Entrepreneur, co-founder and namesake of Angie’s BOOMCHICKAPOP, Angie Bastian took a kernel of an idea and popped it into one of the fastest growing brands of natural popcorn. She founded the snack company out of her Minnesota garage in 2001, and it’s now one of the fastest-growing and most-successful popcorn brands in the market. Kimberly Bryant is an African American electrical engineer who worked in the biotechnology field at Genentech, Novartis Vaccines, Diagnostics, and Merck across the last 25+ years. This nationally-recognized social innovator founded Black Girls CODE, a non-profit organization and training course that teaches basic programming concepts to black girls who are underrepresented in technology careers. Through Black Girls CODE, described by Oprah as “the first organization of its kind,” Kimberly works to develop our leaders of the future and increase opportunities for women and girls in the tech industry.
