2 Amazing Adventurers to Motivate Your Team
Have you heard an incredible story lately that you just had to share? We have—from both of these incredible speakers:
Joby Ogwyn is a world-record holding adventurer best known for his high-altitude mountain climbs and BASE jumps. He holds the record for the fastest climb of Mt. Everest and became the youngest person to climb the Seven Summits at age 26. He’s an engaging storyteller whose tales and visuals of jumping from mountaintops leave audiences spellbound, energized, and motivated to tackle any goal. He’s someone who believes anything is possible, and he projects that in every speech. Check out this new commercial Joby just filmed for MasterCard—it gives you a quick taste of what he does for a living.
Mick Dawson visited our office last week and my team loved him. He tells the story of how he became the first person to row across the North Pacific (from Japan to San Francisco). Think stories of run-ins with killer whales, withstanding punishing monster waves and storms, surviving near crashes with passing cargo ships, and the incredible feeling of rowing into San Francisco Bay at the end. His lessons about teamwork, mental fortitude, and refusing to quit have stayed with us, and you can see video of that talk here.
