Retired Colonel Greg Gadson is a 25-year career United States Army officer. Although a bilateral above-the-knee amputee, he has not been defeated by unfortunate circumstances, instead, his life is a portrait of courage in the face of great adversity. John Riggins is best known for his days as a running back for the Washington Redskins. Riggins had great success with the Redskins, setting a rushing record of 444 yards in three playoff games to help the team make it to Super Bowl XVII. Riggins was named All-Pro in 1983 for the first time in his career. Riggins retired from professional football in 1985 and was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1992.
