Vernice "FlyGirl" Armour is a former United States Marine Corps officer who was the first African American female naval aviator in the Marine Corps and the first African American female combat pilot in the US Armed Forces. Dominique Dawes spent years breaking barriers and breaking records in the sport of Gymnastics and is best known for her tremendous success as an Olympic gymnast who competed in three Olympic Games. She was a member of the gold-medal-winning "Magnificent Seven" team at the 1996 Atlanta Games. After much dedication to the sport, Dominique retired to focus on her passion to encourage, educate and motivate others. Vincent K. Brooks is a retired four-star general who was in command of all US Forces in Korea, where he concurrently commanded United Nations Command as well as the Republic of Korea. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, he led the 4,000 cadets as the cadet brigade commander or “First Captain.” A history-maker, Brooks is the first African American to have been chosen for this paramount position. He is also the eighth African American in history to attain the military’s top rank—four-star general in the United States Army. Dusty Baker is a legendary baseball player and former manager of the Washington Nationals. He completed his 14th season as a Major League Baseball manager with a winning record and finished his career as the Chicago Cubs manager winning 322 games. Since 1930 only three other managers have more wins in a Chicago uniform, and he set the record for winning more games than any other rookie manager in National League history in 1993.
