Mike Ditka Preview Presentation

description

In this video, Mike Ditka, the legendary NFL coach, restaurateur and motivational speaker, presents the National Automatic Merchandising Association's Industry Awards in April of 2010. He believes that there is no such thing as a great motivator. You can be a teacher and teach by example or you can inspire, but motivation is a personal thing - you either have it or you don't.

A native of Carnegie, Pennsylvania, Mike Ditka grew up as the son of a steel-mine worker. He was a three sports star in high school, and was a college football Consensus All-American at the University of Pittsburgh in 1960. Drafter in the first round by George Halas of the Chicago Bears, Mike was the 5th overall selection in the 1961 NFL draft, and was honored that year as the NFL's Rookie of the Year.
