Neil Barofsky, the former special inspector general for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), was responsible for auditing and investigating the program’s purchase, management, and sale of assets. His investigations led to the recovery of more than $700 million and more than a dozen criminal convictions. New York Times author Glenn Greenwald called Barofsky “one of the most impressive and courageous political officials in Washington.” Previously, Barofsky was a federal prosecutor in New York. He addresses TARP, the financial crisis, banking, regulation, and crime.
