She is well-known internationally as a Middle Eastern female journalist, and has received numerous prestigious awards for her career achievements.

An authority on strategic international relations, Ms. Dergham is a pioneer as an international geopolitical columnist, and in launching an indigenous think tank for the Arab region with a global reach. A frequent inspirational lecturer, she spoke at Harvard, Princeton, and Columbia. Dergham is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and an Honorary Fellow at the Foreign Policy Association. She served on the IMC of the WEF and was named one of the “100 Most Powerful Arab Women” in both 2011 and 2016.
