Roz Savage: Courage and Commitment

description
As the first (and so far, only) woman to row solo across the world’s “Big Three” oceans: Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian, Roz is an inspiring role model and advocate for living life with courage, purpose and passion. She left an 11-year career as a management consultant, then had an environmental epiphany that led to her transformation into a world-class adventurer, using her epic voyages to raise awareness of our need to live more sustainably. Spending up to five months at a time alone at sea, facing harsh conditions and without human contact, she learned through experience how to stay disciplined, motivated, and resilient. Today she combines her ocean stories and self-taught life skills with principles gleaned from neuroscience, psychology, and leadership theory to captivate audiences. Roz has spoken to tens of thousands of people across six continents, helping them to effectively navigate the uncharted waters of personal and cultural change and invest more of themselves into every challenge they undertake.

Rosalind Savage
There is no better way to acquire advanced expertise on self-mastery, resilience, and stress management than to spend up to 5 months alone at sea on a 23-foot rowboat, thousands of miles from land and humanity, at the mercy of winds, waves and currents. Since 2005 Roz has become the world's foremost female ocean rower, having rowed - solo - across the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans. An Oxford-trained lawyer, Roz spent the first 11 years of her career working as a management consultant, braving nothing more intrepid than rush hour on the London Underground, before an environmental epiphany led to a radical personal transformation into a world class adventurer.
