This privacy policy has been compiled to help our client and prospective client contacts understand how their data is collected, used and stored in compliance with GDPR regulations to be introduced on 26 May 2018.

GDPR regulations ensure the fair, lawful and transparent, collection, accuracy and processing of individual’s data

The data collected and processed by Leading Authorities International Ltd is for a specified and explicit purpose (enquiries about speakers, bookings of speakers including the administration required for each booking). It is not further processed in a manner that is incompatible with those purposes; we hold only the information required to transact speaker enquires and bookings as well as associated accounting and logistical communications.

We are not using people’s data in ways they would find intrusive or which could cause them harm.

The data is collected under the legitimate interest of individuals who have booked a speaker through us, have requested a proposal of speakers from us or have responded to our marketing material about speakers in the three years leading up to the introduction of GDPR. Or through the personally requested and agreed consent of each individual.

The data will include an individual’s name, email address and telephone number as well as company address and VAT details. This is at a level adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which they are processed.

The data will be used in email marketing campaigns and the transmission of contracts and invoices in relation to the management of speaking engagements. The details will be kept up to date and every reasonable step will be taken to ensure any personal data that are inaccurate will be amended, having regard to the purposes for which they are processed, are erased or rectified without delay.

The information will be kept in a form that permits identification of data subjects and will not be kept for longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the personal data are processed. The data will be processed in a manner that ensures appropriate security, including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage, using appropriate technical or organisational measures

Individuals whose data we store have the right at any point to have their data amended, updated or deleted from our database.



When do we collect information?

We collect information from you when you respond to our marketing messages, request a speaker proposal, opt-in to receive future communications, consent to the cookies on our website, or book a speaker

How do we use your information?

We may use the information we collect in the following ways:

  • To personalise a user's experience and to allow us to deliver the type of content and service offerings in which the user is most interested.
  • To communicate on speaker selection, event details, contracting for a booking as well as invoicing  
  • To send periodic emails regarding your previous request or order or other products and services.

How do we protect visitor information?

  • We only provide articles and information, and we never ask for personal or private information beyond business details required to transact our services
  • The data is stored in a secure location in North America with up-to-date security controls.
  • We honour opt-out/unsubscribe requests quickly
  • Allow users to unsubscribe by using the link at the bottom of each email they receive.

Do we use 'cookies'?

Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site's or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. They are used to help us understand your preferences based on previous or current site activity. Plus we use them to help us remember and process the items in the list if you compile one through the site.  We also use cookies to help us compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction. Third Party Disclosure

We share our data with our content delivery system Vidyard. This is stored in the United States. Vidyard secures our data and Vidyard’s privacy and information technology compliance program has been independently audited and certified against globally recognized standards.

We utilize a third party data processor to handle our live chat service called Live Chat Inc. If personal data is provided within the chat feature to an agent, that data is being securely held in data centers within Europe.

We do not share our data with any other parties.

Other than storage as set out above, we do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information unless we provide you with advance notice. This does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property, or safety.

We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

We have not enabled Google AdSense on our site but we may do so in the future.
