Few people have had the immense impact that Meghan O’Sullivan has had at the highest levels of geopolitics. Currently, Dr. O’Sullivan is the Director of the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and the Jeane Kirkpatrick Professor of the Practice of International Affairs at Harvard University’s Kennedy School. In 2007, Dr. Michael Sorrell faced a life-altering decision. He was part of an ownership group that was on the verge of purchasing the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies and he would serve as the team’s president following the completion of the deal — a dream come true for him. At the same time, he was approached by Paul Quinn College, a failing institution, to serve as the historically Black college’s president in the interim while they sought out a permanent appointment to take over the role — a search that was proving difficult as the school continued to falter. Dr. Sorrell accepted the role, hoping it would be a brief side quest on his journey to becoming an NBA executive. In reality, it marked the beginning of a transformative and innovative era for the school that continues to this day. Dr. Sorrell has spearheaded one of the great turnaround stories of our time — leading Paul Quinn’s evolution from one of the worst in the nation to a higher education powerhouse. As the longest-tenured president in the college’s history, he has instilled a “WE Over Me” mentality in students, faculty, and the community at large and has been revered throughout his historic tenure for his ability to reimagine organizations to better serve the needs of the people that depend on them. Jim Harbaugh was named the Los Angeles Chargers head coach on January 24, 2024. Jim Harbaugh has been the head coach of the University of Michigan football team for nine seasons. He was named the 20th coach in Michigan football history in 2014 and is the sixth former Michigan football player to be named the leader of college football's winningest program. Harbaugh is a National Champion, leading Michigan to the 2023 CFP and defeating Washington in the National Championship game. Harbaugh came to Ann Arbor, MI after an impressive four-year run in the National Football League as head coach of the San Francisco 49ers (2011-2014). He led the 49ers to the NFC Championship Game in each of his first three seasons, winning the George Halas Trophy as NFC champions in 2012. Harbaugh tallied a 49-22-1 overall record that included a 5-3 mark in the postseason as 49ers head coach. At Michigan, Harbaugh has guided the Wolverines to a 74-25 record and 51-17 in Big Ten games. He has led Michigan to five 10-win seasons, seven bowl games, three straight College Football Playoffs (2021-23), and a National Championship (2023). He is highly respected in the coaching world for his consistent success and winning philosophy.

One of the most respected players to ever play the game of football, and a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2021, John Lynch is in his sixth season as the San Francisco 49ers General Manager following a 15-year playing career and more than eight seasons as an NFL analyst. After graduating from Stanford, Lynch was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the third round of the 1993 NFL Draft. Lynch played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1993 to 2003 where he was a key player in their dominant defense, helping them win Super Bowl XXXVII in 2002. He was selected to the Pro Bowl nine times and was named an All-Pro twice during his career. After retiring as a player, Lynch transitioned into a career in broadcasting. He worked as a commentator for Fox Sports, providing color commentary for NFL games. In 2017, Lynch was hired as the General Manager of the San Francisco 49ers. As the general manager of the 49ers, Lynch has been credited with helping to rebuild the team and leading them to success. Under his leadership, the 49ers reached the Super Bowl in 2019 and the NFC Championship Game in 2021. He was named Executive of the Year in 2019. Off the field, Lynch is known for his philanthropy work. He and his wife Linda started the John Lynch Foundation, which is committed to inspiring young people to become leaders through scholarship, sport participation and community involvement.

Arthur C. Brooks is a professor at the Harvard Kennedy School and the Harvard Business School, where he teaches courses on leadership and happiness. He is also a columnist at The Atlantic, where he writes the popular “How to Build a Life” column. Brooks is the author of 12 books, including the 2022 #1 New York Times bestseller From Strength to Strength: Finding Success, Happiness, and Deep Purpose in the Second Half of Life. He speaks all around the world about love and happiness, giving more than 150 speeches and lectures per year in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Brooks began his career as a classical musician, leaving college at 19, and performing with ensembles in the United States and Spain. In his late twenties, while still performing, he returned to school, earning a BA in economics through distance learning. At 31, he left music and earned an MPhil and PhD in public policy analysis, during which time he worked as a military analyst for the Rand Corporation. Brooks then spent the next 10 years as a university professor at Syracuse University, where he taught economics and nonprofit management.
