He is best-known known for his roles as Julius Nicholson in the BBC\u2019s \u201cThick of It\u201d and Neil\u2019s Dad in the Channel 4 comedy \u201cThe Inbetweeners.\u201d A qualified barrister, Alex hosted the \u201cDowning Street Debates\u201d with ex-Prime Minister David Cameron at Number 10, and has spoken at the Edinburgh International Television Festival. Other speaking work includes the Intelligence Squared Fleming v Le Carr\u00e9 debate with Simon Callow and Anthony Horowitz, as well as guest speaker at the Middle Temple Annual Dinner with the Master of the Rolls, Lord Dyson, for 180 Benchers, Barristers, and Students.<\/p>\n<p>I saw him speak last week and he is hugely entertaining, engaging, and easy to work with, that is in between people rushing up for selfies, all of which he agreed to with grace and humour.
