General Randy A. George is a retired U.S. Army four-star general who served as the 41st Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army, the service’s senior uniformed officer. Commissioned from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1988, he led soldiers and formations across a career spanning nearly four decades, including operational deployments in support of Desert Shield\/Desert Storm, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Before becoming Chief of Staff, he served as Vice Chief of Staff of the Army and held senior command assignments including the 4th Infantry Division, the 173rd Airborne Brigade, and the Army’s 4th Infantry Division.
