Petra served in the Special Operations Group for 10 years, where her identity had to remain a complete secret. She said that the secrecy of the role—because she was a woman—added intense physical and mental pressure.
Petra recently stepped down from active military service and now presents guest lectures about her involvement in the Swedish Armed Forces, explaining how she kept her life secret from the rest of the world for such a long period of time.
She can be seen in the TV-show SAS Who Dares Wins on Channel 4 in the UK. The series takes place in Chile at 3,000 metres above sea level, 25 civilians are trying to make the tests for the special association SAS. Petra went in as a mole in order to inform the instructors about the recruits.
