Samantha Simmonds is a TV news presenter, journalist, and broadcaster with more than 20 years’ experience. She is currently presenting on the BBC, where she has her own weekly BBC 1 program called ‘Politics London’ which involves interviewing senior politicians. Samantha also presents on the BBC World and UK News Channel covering breaking news and live interviews. Additionally, she presents the World Business Report covering the top business and economic stories of the day on BBC 1. Samantha can also be heard presenting on BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio London.

In addition to being a sought-after and experienced live events host for conferences and awards, Samantha is regularly asked to speak by international corporations and at motivational events about global and UK events and politics.

Samantha presented on Sky News for more than a decade, anchoring coverage of some of the biggest stories of recent years. These included the murder of British MP Jo Cox, the EU referendum, and the royal wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Samantha was also the first British broadcaster to break the news of the death of pop superstar Michael Jackson.
