Award-winning writer, political historian, filmmaker, speaker, and commentator. Nina is Co-CEO of SellersEaston Media, a multimedia firm that tells the stories of impactful leaders through films, memoirs, and live events. With her extensive experience in engaging and inspiring audiences across multiple business sectors and global economies, it’s an honor to bring her clients’ stories to life.
Together with Co-CEO Pattie Sellers, Nina executive produced the upcoming MAX film Gumbo Coalition, which is directed by two-time Oscar winner Barbara Kopple and tells the riveting leadership stories of two prominent civil rights leaders fighting for racial justice during America’s turbulent modern era.
In 2022, she co-founded JOURNEY, a nonprofit whose mission is to accelerate the diversity and trajectory of diverse women in leadership with a unique model that connects the private sector’s most promising emerging talent with women already at the top.
Nina spent three decades in high-profile media roles – most recently as Washington editor and award-winning columnist for Fortune magazine. As a leading political analyst, she regularly appeared on top-rated news shows such as Meet the Press, Face the Nation, and Fox News Sunday. Her critically acclaimed book on the American conservative movement, “Gang of Five,” ranks on the Vox list of "books to read to understand the world."
At Fortune, Nina chaired Fortune Most Powerful Women International and co-chaired the Fortune Global Forum, producing and moderating elite leadership events around the world. This was a rich opportunity to help tell the stories of some of the world's most important leaders, and one that impacted her own story as well: forming Nina as an entrepreneur and storyteller, and fueling her desire to make an impact.
In 2012, Nina was selected as a Harvard Kennedy School Fellow, teaching seminars on American politics and conducting research on the wealth gap. Later, she combined her interest in global affairs with passion for advancing women leaders by co-founding the program “Smart Women Smart Power” at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) – interviewing top national security and diplomatic leaders such as Melinda Gates and Christine Lagarde. In 2022, Nina was selected to serve on the Trilateral Commission, which brings together top leaders from three continents to defend democracy and rule of law. In this role she brings her expertise and knowledge to further champion the importance of democratic principles to ensure that we continue to advance free and democratic principles around the world.

During the 2004 presidential race, she co-authored a biography of Democratic nominee John Kerry and, as The Boston Globe’s deputy bureau chief in Washington, helped shape that paper’s political coverage. In 2012, she was appointed a fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School, where she taught a seminar on the U.S. economy and that year’s presidential election, interviewing top speakers from both sides of the aisle.

In addition to her prominent role with Fortune, Easton hosts the “Smart Women, Smart Power” podcast series at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where she regularly facilitates powerful conversations on a range of issues between leading women around the globe. Whether it’s hosting a gathering for 45 female ambassadors or interviewing Samantha Power or Melinda Gates, Easton knows women are economic and social engines of change and works to bring awareness to women’s issues globally.
