Business Development Manager (London, UK Offices)

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and successful sales professional

The business development manager will join a small team in the European division of a US-based speaker bureau. His or her core responsibility is to identify and close business with new and existing clients in the UK, Europe and Asia.

It is critical that the candidate has experience of developing client relationships, helping them with innovation, flexibility and rapid responses. He or she should be quick-thinking, have a can-do attitude and demonstrate attention to detail.

This position reports to the managing director and would suit an individual who is keen to help develop a fast-growing business.

This opportunity in a very high-profile and interesting sector. It will be hard work and a lot of it but the rewards are uncapped, achievable and realistic. You will meet many high-profile individuals and work with many renowned organisations. It will suit a high-achiever who is happy working independently and flexibly.

Essential Tasks:

  • Establishing meaningful client relationships and first-rate customer service
  • Ability to close sales and maximise revenues
  • Generating leads and responding to marketing-led opportunities
  • Effective negotiation of sales and contracts
  • Ability to close deals
  • Patience and perseverance


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree educated with strong and proven sales experience in the financial services sector.
  • Flexibility, patience and resilience
  • Successful track record in B2B sales
  • Experience of the events business is valuable but not essential
  • Established business relationships in the financial services sector preferable
  • A good knowledge of current affairs and business trends is very valuable
  • Ability to influence decision makers in client organizations.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel is vital as many clients are outside the UK

Multimedia Editor


Washington, DC’s biggest talent agency is looking for a video marketer who likes to meet fascinating people, tell their story, and get results. The marketer in this role will be responsible for shooting, editing, and crafting best-in-class promotional videos to position our talent for success. In addition, this role contributes to the overall marketing strategy and creates assets to support marketing activities.
If your skill-set is at the intersection of making great videos, editing down a story, and moving people to action, we want to talk to you.

You Must:

  • Enjoy meeting incredibly smart and accomplished people and be committed to getting results for them.
  • Have great video editing skills and decent Photoshop skills.
  • Be able to find the story.
  • Know how to manipulate and build upon existing content (graphics, photos and videos)
  • Have lots of ideas for spinning content for multiple channels.
  • Play well with others, build on ideas, and always be ready to pitch in where necessary.
  • Work quickly, meet tight deadlines, and be able to juggle multiple projects.
  • Love to learn new things and take on new challenges.
  • Have 2-3 years experience making videos in a marketing environment.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in video, film production, media or equivalent experience.
  • Have demonstrated portfolio and expertise.


Technical and Personal Qualifications:

  • Proficient with Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop.
  • Experience with and proficiency with Canon C300 equivalent 35mm film camcorder, professional studio and field lighting, wireless and wired audio recording, color correction and sound design.
  • Good project management skills.

 Event Coordinator

Leading Authorities Inc., one of the nation’s most prominent speakers bureaus with a multi-faceted portfolio, is seeking a full-time Event Coordinator. Our company's mission is to help organizations create powerful meeting experiences and compelling messages using high profile talent, entertainment and production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide logistical support to our clients and our talent
  • Talent management
  • Reviewing contracts
  • Serving as the liaison between the client, talent, and travel vendors
  • Booking airline, ground transportation, and hotel arrangements
  • Coordinating conference calls
  • Updating the internal calendar of speaker availability
  • Communicating accurate event information to clients, talent, and internal departments

Reports to: Vice President, Sales

Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Leading Authorities, Inc., one of the most prominent speakers bureaus, with unique capabilities in lecture representation, video, and live event production, and entertainment, is looking for a dynamic, energetic, and professional Sales Coordinator to support our busy sales team within our Washington, DC office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide sales support to include:
    • Create Client/Talent Firm Offers and Contracts
    • Assist with client proposals
    • Assist with creating event itineraries and travel arrangements
    • Scan and track signed contracts
    • Conduct research for sales staff
    • Coordinate calendars with sales staff, speakers, and clients
    • Assist with client and speaker appreciation program
    • Collect and manage speaker video footage
    • Update various databases
    • Assist at marketing events
  • Provide administrative support to include:
    • Receive, distribute, and send mail and packages
    • Back-up phone duty for approximately four hours a week
    • Send emails and letters on behalf of the sales department
    • Miscellaneous projects and additional duties, as required

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business, communications, marketing, hospitality, or related discipline
  • Extremely detail oriented and organized
  • Experience with Microsoft CRM, a plus
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously

Leading Authorities, Inc. is seeking a marketing intern to support our marketing and event department. If you are interested in working in a fast-paced environment where you'll quickly learn a wide range of marketing skills, work closely with senior executives across various departments, gain exposure to various new marketing workflows and platforms, and manage your own projects, then this may be the perfect opportunity for you. This internship is for Spring 2019. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Digital Marketing Coordinator; Manager, Marketing Events; Marketing and Operations Manager; Senior Vice President of Marketing and Creative Services; and Chief Operating Officer on assigned projects
  • Assist in the organization, planning, and execution of marketing events
  • Assist in the research and generation of sales leads
  • Help manage social media channels
  • Assist in the database entry and maintenance process of client information
  • Maintain and update speaker information in database and website
  • General administrative support, as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A Junior of Senior college student
  • Flexibility to work Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the ability to work one to two extra hours per month for special events, as needed
  • Solid project management skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, creativity, and strong computer skills

  • Work closely with Digital Marketing, Director; Manager, Marketing Events; Marketing and Operations Manager; and Senior Vice President of Marketing and Creative Services on assigned projects
  • Assist in the design of marketing materials
  • Create graphics for social media, event materials, and miscellaneous projects
  • Create and edit videos for internal and external use 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A Junior or Senior college student
  • Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Pro and Final Cut
  • Flexibility to work Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, as your college schedule allows
