Contributing to the Community

In addition to being a leading speakers bureau and business communications firm, Leading Authorities, Inc. speakers bureau is proud to contribute and give back to our community in many exciting ways throughout the year.

Please see below for more information about recent philanthropic and community outreach projects that the Leading Authorities, Inc. team has been involved in as well as information about the organizations, charities, and non-profits that our employees contribute to and support throughout the year.

Each year, in the spirit of the holiday season, the Leading Authorities, Inc. team makes a donation to the Bright Beginnings child development center in Washington, DC.

The staff at Leading Authorities, Inc. has contributed time and energy to this incredible organization for the past several years. These continual efforts have been headed up by Lucinda DeCastro, the director of events at Leading Authorities speakers bureau. She regularly updates our team about the needs at Bright Beginnngs and our staff responds with donations of time, money, and supplies.

For example, around the holiday season, Leading Authorities, Inc. employees regularly purchase and donate new clothes, toys, and hearty holiday meals to benefit more than 100 homeless infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Light The Night Walk

For many years, the employees at Leading Authorities, Inc. have been active participants in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk. Over the last six years, Leading Authorities, Inc. has raised thousands of dollars in support of the organization’s mission to find therapies and cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

Making Connections To Great Causes

The Leading Authorities, Inc. team is in contact with many great people and organizations everyday. Sometimes, we are able to connect our clients to do good. One of the speakers LAI is pleased to represent is Jim Donald, the current president and COO of Albertson's and former CEO of Starbucks, Haggen Food & Pharmacy, and Extended Stay Hotels.

When Rainey Foster, the executive vice president at Leading Authorities speakers bureau, mentioned that a friend stationed in Afghanistan was missing his favorite coffee, Jim jumped into action. 13 cases of Starbucks Via soon arrived at Bagram Air Base for the troops.

We would like to thank Jim for his generous contributions!
