We wanted to let you know about a new Leading Authorities speaker that our entire office is excited about: Jon Steinberg, the former COO and President of Buzzfeed.

Jon joined Buzzfeed in 2010 when the company only had 15 employees. Under his leadership, Buzzfeed went from $0 to $60 million in annual revenue and a booming staff of over 500. He left Buzzfeed to assume the role of CEO of DailyMail North America and now is launching his own company—a video-based news site catering to millennials named Cheddar.

Jon is the guy to turn to when it comes to monetizing millennial habits. An advisor to TheSkimm and Taboola, he sits on the board of Bustle, oversaw the acquisition of Elite Daily by the Daily Mail, and while at the Daily Mail launched TrufflePig, a joint venture with Snapchat. When it comes to new media, viral content, and the next generation of consumers, Steinberg is a home run.
