Top Speakers for Q1

by Maddie Donnelly
Steep saunders clapper Paris train heros

We’ve recently begun working with some uniquely talented speakers. Here is a list of several speakers who will be very popular for events playing in early 2018:

Innovation

  • Mike Steep: Mike is the Executive Director of Stanford’s Center for Disruptive Technology and Digital Cities. A former Silicon Valley executive, Mike’s speeches are fast-paced and dynamic, and he focuses on helping companies figure out what they can do to get ahead of the change around them. Here’s a quick video of Mike talking about how companies can take advantage of disruption.

Motivation

  • Ben Saunders: A three-time TED speaker, Ben is a world record-breaking polar explorer. This November, he’s embarking on his most ambitious adventure yet—to become the first person to cross Antarctica solo. Ben returns from his journey in February, at which time he’ll be accepting speaking engagements. Watch as Ben talks about achieving the impossible.
  • The Paris Train Heroes: Anthony Sadler, Alek Skarlatos, and Spencer Stone made international headlines by stopping a terrorist attack on a Paris-bound train with more than 500 passengers on board. They co-authored a book about the experience, The 15:17 to Paris, which is currently being made into a movie by Clint Eastwood. They will star in the film. On stage, the lifelong friends talk about finding success on the other side of fear, embracing the unexpected, and maintaining the relationships you will one day need most.

Geopolitics and National Security

  • Director Jim Clapper: Former DNI Jim Clapper has been one of our most positively reviewed new speakers of 2017 for his humor, tell-it-like-it-is attitude, and experience-based insights. With a new book out in 2018 covering the major events of his career in government—the bin Laden raid, Wikileaks, and alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 election, to name a few—he is going to be in high-demand for events next year.
