Former U.S. Attorney General William “Bill” Barr Now Speaking
Two-time U.S. Attorney General William “Bill” Barr is now available for lectures. He served as the 77th and 85th attorney general under presidents George H.W. Bush and Donald Trump and has been among the most influential figures in American politics, policy, and business for more than 40 years.
A POLITICAL POWERHOUSE
As one of only two Americans to serve two terms as attorney general, AG Barr put forth several programs to advance law enforcement matters, combat violent crime, and reform financial institutions, civil rights, and antitrust mergers. Hailed as a “throwback to the days when attorney generals would actually talk to you,” many of his initiatives received bipartisan praise.
UNMATCHED LEGAL ACUMEN IN BUSINESS
In between terms as attorney general, AG Barr spent more than 14 years in senior corporate positions at Verizon and GTE Corporation. Serving as general counsel, he played a pivotal role in GTE’s merger with Bell Atlantic to become Verizon. Following his retirement from Verizon, he remains a sought-after legal counsel for many of the world’s top corporations.
OBJECTIVE, INSIDER INSIGHTS
In his talks and upcoming memoir, One Damn Thing After Another (out March 8), AG Barr takes audiences behind the scenes of pivotal moments in two transformative presidential administrations, from the 1992 LA riots to the aftermath of the 2020 election. Noted for his exceptional candor and quick wit, he seamlessly weaves those events into the present day as he addresses the current landscape and the issues that have furthered America’s political divide, as well as today’s challenges in law and business.
