    Deborah is the founding partner of several businesses including Prime Insights, LLC, a career success training and development company causing leaders to produce outstanding results through uncommon insights that engender courageous action. Previously, she was the Founder and CEO of New Jersey based Umbrellas Plus, LLC. Established in 1987 and sold in 2004, she built this multi-million dollar import and logistics company into one of the “Top 50 Hispanic Women-owned” companies in the U.S. with products in thousands of retail outlets including Costco, Toys-R-Us and Walmart.

    Coined a “Visionary Powerbroker” by Hispanic Trends Magazine, Shaw serves on the PepsiCo Ethnic Advisory Board where she is the External Co-Chair of the Procurement Committee providing strategic advice for a $1.4 billion dollar budget with minority and women-owned enterprises. She advises multi-billion dollar private equity firms and is the Founder and Chair of the Dream Big Foundation. Previously Deborah served on the Office Depot Women’s Advisory Board and the board of the non-profit “Count-Me-In for Women’s Economic Independence.”

    Deborah’s strategies for success have appeared in Business Week, Family Circle, Forbes, "O" Magazine, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal and many others. She has been a guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Today Show, ABC, CNN, FOX, NBC, and Telemundo. She has been profiled in several best-selling books and her achievements have been used as case studies in numerous textbooks.

    Shaw has been listed several times as one of the “100 Most Successful Latinas in the U.S.” She also made the prestigious list of “80 Elite Women Leaders” both by Hispanic Business Magazine. She is the recipient of numerous awards including “Hispanic Businesswoman of the Year” by the National Hispanic Business Group, “Entrepreneur of the Year” by the National Foundation of Women Legislators, “America’s Free Enterprise Legend Award” from Students in Free Enterprise and the “Entrepreneurial Excellence Award” from Dialogue on Diversity. In 2004, she joined the ranks of Billie Jean King and Madeline Albright as a recipient of the “Office Depot Visionary Award.”  

    Bilingual and bicultural, Shaw is a best-selling author and one of the top international speakers on leadership, innovation, and success.
