Widely respected for his determined dedication to upholding American values and democracy, The Honorable Ken Buck represented Colorado’s 4th Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives during one of the most transformative periods in our nation’s history. Republican Congressman Buck was first elected to Congress in 2014 and served an impactful five terms until making the decision to resign in 2024. Throughout his decade-long tenure in Congress, Buck sought to affect change to policy and politics from inside the beltway and championed legislation in favor of small government, less debt, and antitrust initiatives. Following his time in Congress, Buck retains his unwavering passion for driving meaningful change in politics and solving problems for the American people.

While in Congress, Buck served on the House Judiciary Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee. He was also a member of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Antitrust, Commercial, and Administrative Law; the Subcommittee on Immigration and Citizenship; and the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on the Indo-Pacific and Western Hemisphere. He served as chair of the Colorado Republican Party from 2019-2021. Prior to entering politics, Buck was a prominent lawyer with a strong record of criminal prosecution and crime prevention who, as the District Attorney for Weld County from 2004-2014, oversaw a 50 percent decrease in the crime rate — one of the best records in the country. He began his career in law working under then-Congressman and future Vice President Dick Cheney on the Iran-Contra Investigation before becoming a prosecutor with the U.S. Department of Justice.

Beyond politics and law, Buck is equally focused on uplifting groups on a local level as he is at the national level. He has volunteered and served on the boards of various community groups. He also spearheaded a group of community leaders to launch the Juvenile Assessment Center, which is credited with supporting more than 2,000 kids and their families in getting back on the right path in life.
