Daniel Gros is the Director of the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) since 2000. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Chicago. In the past Daniel worked at the IMF, collaborated with the European Commission as economic adviser to the Delors Committee that developed plans for the EMU, and taught at several leading European Universities. He has published extensively on international monetary affairs in scientific journals and is the author of several books, including leading textbooks on the economics of transition and the genesis of the euro.
