Tim Peake: Breakfast Showcase in London

description

Tim Peake is a must hear speaker if you’ve ever been interested in space programs, even if you haven’t, he is a fantastic choice. Peake was the first ever astronaut to run a marathon from space. He learned Russian in 2.5 years. He lived in a cave and an underwater habitat off the coast of Florida, known as NEEMO. Although these experiences have an obvious cool factor, they were all an integral part of the preparation training Peake underwent to qualify for his mission. He launched on the Soyuz rocket in December on 2015 going to spend 6 months conducting 250 research projects from the International Space Station, ISS.

In order to live in a confined space for 6 months under a physically demanding and psychologically stressful environment, it is imperative to develop a vast array of skills. Peake goes through the challenges of training and the importance of teamwork, leadership, followership, and communication. Imagine, you are in confined space with a small group of people from all over the world. What might you need to know in order to troubleshoot a given situation? In addition to the training for fire, depressurization, or a toxic atmosphere, astronauts need to be a Jack of all trades – plumbing, dentistry, and engineering are just some of the skills that astronauts learn while training for their mission.

Peake leads us on a fascinating journey of his experiences from the extreme launch environment to an international communication network of 2,000 people from around the world. He is an exceptional and entertaining speaker on adventure, innovation and teamwork. In addition to his unparalleled stories you will see beautiful imagery of the atmosphere and earth across continents--from the Andes to the ice fields of Patagonia, erupting volcanos and fireworks of lightning storms.

Truly an experience, visit Peake's speaker page, contact us via phone, chat, or e-mail to learn more about Peake’s unique background and how it can apply to your next team meeting.
